If we wanted a quick sweater, we'd go to Penney's and buy one. The process of creation is the whole point of knitting. We knit because we like to do it. So, when you rip out you double your pleasure. All knitting involves mistakes. I've been knitting 53 years and make my living teaching knitting. I make mistakes. The difference is, when do you spot them and what do you decide to do about them. You did the right thing. Some little mistakes I leave in, only I'll see then. Maybe a mis-crossed cable. But fit is mission-essential. Always rip for fit.
